Janice Dean got covered in mud over the weekend for a great cause that hits close to home.

Dean was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2005, a disease that targets the body's central nervous system.

On "Fox & Friends" Monday, Dean said that while the event was a lot of fun, it was physically grueling nevertheless.

"I had mud in my hair, I had mud everywhere. ... But you know I'll do anything for a good cause," said Dean, who has written extensively about living with the disease.
