Judge Andrew Napolitano reacted to the death of longtime Fox News commentator and syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer.

Krauthammer passed on Thursday at the age of 68.

"One of the great gifts of my 20 plus years here at the Fox News Channel was to become his friend," he said

Napolitano said he and Krauthammer started out as ideological adversaries, but grew to become great friends.

He joked that he made the mistake of playing chess with Krauthammer.

"He'd correct my moves before he clobbered them," Napolitano said.

Napolitano said Krauthammer had "such a powerful intellect" and was "a sweet and wonderful man."
