Dem Strategist: Singapore Meeting 'A Win for Kim Jong Un'
Democratic consultant Mary Anne Marsh said on "The Story" that the bilateral summit between President Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un already counts as a "win" for the despot.
Martha MacCallum played several clips of media personalities criticizing Trump and the meeting, including former Bush aide Nicolle Wallace who said the president "put all his eggs in the dictator basket."
MacCallum asked if such statements were true.

"This is a win for Kim," Marsh said, adding that the dictator is getting some "much desired attention."
"He has done nothing to earn [the meeting]," Marsh said of Kim. "He hasn't agreed to anything yet."
MacCallum said that Trump appears to have prevented North Korea from continuing missile tests, adding that the Japanese -- a key American ally -- were reportedly concerned a misfired rocket could land in their country.
She said Trump also shepherded the return of three hostages from Pyongyang.
"To say that there's no... growth along this spectrum just based on the facts in untrue," she said.
Marsh responded that Trump is "obsessed" with "undoing [Barack] Obama's legacy and that he is allowing Chinese President Xi Jinping to become a "power broker" in the region.
