Dreamer Backs Trump on Immigration: Dems Need to 'Move on' From Election and Work With Him
On "Fox & Friends" Monday morning, a so-called "Dreamer" explained why he supports President Donald Trump's immigration policies.
Over the weekend, Trump tweeted that Democrats are politicizing the debate over "Dreamers" -- undocumented immigrants shielded from deportation by the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program -- as a "campaign issue."
Republicans want to fix DACA far more than the Democrats do. The Dems had all three branches of government back in 2008-2011, and they decided not to do anything about DACA. They only want to use it as a campaign issue. Vote Republican!

Hilario "Eli" Yanez, a Mexican national who was brought to the U.S. as an infant, agreed with Trump's immigration proposal of offering amnesty to hundreds of thousands of Dreamers like him, in exchange for funding for a border wall and a crackdown on the diversity visa lottery and chain migration programs.
Yanez said Trump has shown compassion and courage on the immigration issue, as he's taken criticism from both the right and the left for trying to reach a compromise on DACA before the March 5 deadline.
Steve Doocy noted that it's uncommon to see an undocumented immigrant agree with Trump and Republicans on immigration policy.
"As far as the Democrats, I’m a little confused as to what their message is. I'm a little confused as to what they believe in," Yanez said, adding that it's time for Democrats to get over Trump's election victory and work with him on important legislation, like immigration reform.
"It's not a Republican [issue], it's not a Democrat issue, but it's an American issue."
