WATCH: Dem Congresswoman Dozes Off During Nancy Pelosi's 8-Hour DACA Speech
Cameras caught Rep. Doris Matsui (D-Calif.) dozing off several times as the House minority leader spoke in favor of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
Pelosi took to the floor to lodge a protest to the budget deal reached by Senate leaders earlier on Wednesday.
She and other Democrats criticized the agreement for not addressing so-called Dreamers, illegal immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children.
Pelosi said Democrats would vote against the spending plan unless House Speaker Paul Ryan allows a vote on DACA, which will expire on March 5.
Fox News' Chad Pergram confirmed Pelosi's speech was the longest ever on the House floor.
Fox confirms Pelosi breaks record for longest Hse flr speech. Old record was 5 hrs, 15 minutes in 1909 by Rep. Champ Clark (D-MO) in 1909 on tariffs and trade. Clark later became House Speaker.
