Judge Jeanine Tears Into Dems for Using Dreamers as 'Pawns'

A mother whose son was killed by an illegal alien is speaking out against illegal immigration and so-called sanctuary policies, taking her fight all the way to Congress.

On "Fox & Friends First," Sabrine Durden, a legal immigrant from Germany, said her son Dominic was killed in 2012 when a truck slammed into his motorcycle. The truck’s driver, Juan Zacarias Tzun, was an illegal immigrant with two felonies and two DUIs, Durden said.

She said that's why she helped create Advocates for Victims of Illegal Alien Crime (AVIAC), which is partnering up with sheriffs from across the country to call on lawmakers on Capitol Hill to put the safety of the American people first.

The group is calling for better border security and a crackdown on cities and states that shield criminal illegal immigrants from deportation by not cooperating with federal immigration authorities.

“I get very angry. It’s an insult to every law-abiding American and every law-abiding legal immigrant like myself,” Durden said.

She said state and local officials put American lives at risk when they take the law into their own hands.

"It needs to stop," she said.

As for the ongoing debate over immigration reform, Durden said she would like to see President Trump refuse amnesty to DREAMers, illegal immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as minors.

"I still believe we should get that wall, we should get the interior fixed, stop these sanctuary cities and not necessarily make any deals that would cost more American lives," Durden said. "Our dreams matter. My son’s dream mattered."

The debate over illegal immigrant crime was thrust back into the spotlight over the weekend after Indianapolis Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson was killed by a suspected drunk driver who was in the U.S. illegally and had been deported twice.

Jackson, 26, and his Uber driver, Jeffrey Monroe, 54, were hit and killed around 4 a.m. on Sunday on Interstate 70 in Indiana.

Indiana State Police identified the driver of an F-150 truck in the incident as Manuel Orrego-Savala, 37, who had been deported in 2007 and 2009.

“State police investigators are working with U.S. Federal Immigration Officials and they have placed a hold on Orrego-Savala,” police said in a statement.

Vice President Mike Pence tweeted about Jackson's "senseless & avoidable" death on Monday evening, calling it a "tragedy."
