'Liar and a Demagogue': Tucker Blasts Adam Schiff After Criticism of FISA Memo Release
Tucker Carlson blasted top House Intelligence Committee Democrat Adam Schiff as a "liar and a demagogue" in an appearance on "Fox & Friends" Tuesday.
Schiff (D-Calif.) harshly criticized Republicans on Monday for voting to release a classified memo purportedly revealing government surveillance abuses, accusing them of placing President Trump's interests above the "national interest."
He called Trump "deeply flawed" and lamented that his presence in the Oval Office had "infected" the committee.
Committee Republicans JUST voted to declassify their spin "memo" and prohibit release of the Democratic response in what they claimed was “the interests of full transparency.” It was transparent alright – transparently cynical and destructive.

Carlson said Democrats have continually dismissed the importance of the memo, despite many of them admitting they haven't read it.
He said he once asked Schiff on his show whether the government knows for sure that the Russians hacked John Podesta's emails.
"He accused me of working for Vladimir Putin rather than answer the questions. He is not someone you should be listening to on this subject," the host of "Tucker Carlson Tonight" said.
Meantime, Andrew McCabe was "removed" from his post as FBI deputy director Monday after months of conflict-of-interest complaints from Republicans and President Trump.
Carlson said reporters on all sides should be "leading the charge for transparency" on whether the FBI's actions were politically-motivated, but instead any questions are "shouted down."
"I'm not carrying water for any politician when I ask the question: was our government using these agencies for political ends?" he argued.
