Juan Williams praised the hundreds of Texas men who showed support for young boys who do not have a father figure in their life.
Billy Earl Dade Middle School, home to many low-income and minority students, recently held a "Breakfast With Dads" event.
Officials at the Dallas school said it was the first of its kind, but that they were initially worried not all of the students had father figures in their lives.
The school asked men in the area to come and participate with the children who did not have a father in the home.
The school sent out a solicitation for area men to come and participate with the children who did not have a father in the home.
Expecting only a dozen or so men, the school was shocked when 600 men showed up to support the kids.
Williams said many of the men pledged to be mentors to the students in the future.
He called the surprise "so needed, so necessary and so wonderful."
