House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Michael McCaul said President Trump was "on top of his game" during a televised White House meeting with legislators regarding immigration reform.
McCaul (R-Texas) said the discussion was bipartisan, bicameral and substantive.
"I don't know if that's ever happened before," he said, comparing Trump to a CEO in a boardroom.
As I made very clear today, our country needs the security of the Wall on the Southern Border, which must be part of any DACA approval.

McCaul said it was good to hear each member's thoughts on how to proceed with DACA and border security.
He said he supported several main points discussed, including ending chain migration and the visa lottery system - the latter of which he pointed to being part of the reason for recent terror attacks in New York.
The Austin legislator said he and Republican Roanoke, Va. congressman Bob Goodlatte will introduce a bill Wednesday that puts these "legislative fixes" on paper.
Nothing Michael Wolff could say about @realDonaldTrump has hurt him as much as the DACA lovefest right now.

McCaul also responded to criticisms from conservative immigration reform critics like author Ann Coulter, who called Trump's meeting more damaging than a recent disputed tell-all book about the White House.
