House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's son posted a photo of him standing next to First Daughter Ivanka Trump on Instagram.
Paul Pelosi Jr. was pictured smiling as he rang in 2018 at the New Years Eve party at President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago property.
"May 2018 be filled with #love, #health, and #everythingyoueverdreamed," the 48-year-old businessman and corporate adviser wrote.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Pelosi Jr. did not return a request for comment on the photo.
However, his sister, Democratic strategist Christine Pelosi, said she wasn't surprised to see Paul Jr. at Trump's estate.
"He is just an adventuring guy. Maybe he had a golf game," she told the paper.
Pelosi's mother is a routine critic of President Trump, announcing her opposition to his tax plan, border wall and immigration reform policies.
Reaction to Pelosi Jr.'s photo was mixed.
One Instagram user called it "handsome" while another tagged his mother's Instagram handle demanding that she "get this mess in check."
Tickets to the event were reportedly $750, and the gala was also attended by Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, Jared Kushner and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin.
