Sean Hannity called out the media for "breathlessly" covering President Trump's tweet about North Korea and his war of words with Steve Bannon, while ignoring all the positive things that he's accomplishing.
He pointed out that the Dow on Thursday closed above 25,000 for the first time ever, 250,000 new jobs were created in December alone, unemployment is at a 17-year low and the Republican tax bill will give tax cuts to the vast majority of Americans, but it's rare to see those headlines in the press.
"It just shows you ... how the media lies to you daily and, frankly, how much they hate President Trump," Hannity said.
He said the media's "Trump-hating obsession" means they will do and say anything to try to hurt him and his agenda.
"What we have now is a media so corrupt. They're all a bunch of sheep, they're brain dead, they're hypnotized, and it's like watching a horror movie unfold before our eyes," Hannity said.
He said it's been particularly glaring in the media's coverage of Bannon's criticism of Trump and his team in a forthcoming book.
"They have uncontrollable glee that Steve Bannon - a guy that they hate - said something about the president," Hannity said. "It just shows you how pathetic all of these people are. Look at how breathlessly they are covering the Bannon story. Did they ever tell you a single thing about the economy that's good, anything that Trump's done good?"
