The Senate Intelligence Committee is now investigating 2016 Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein over Russia's alleged interference in the election, Tucker Carlson reported.
Carlson said that in 2015, Stein attended a dinner sponsored by RT - the Russian news outlet - in which she was seated near President Vladimir Putin.
Media reporter Joe Concha said the movement supporting Hillary Clinton at all costs has expanded from going after President Donald Trump to blaming Stein for the former secretary of state's loss as well.
Concha said Clinton supporters are angry with Stein for the fact that her far-left candidacy may have taken votes away from Clinton.
In Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan, Stein's vote totals - if instead credited to Clinton - would have won the Democrat each of those states, meaning Trump would've been defeated, Clinton supporters said, according to Carlson.
"Nobody in the media has noticed this is a terrifying witch hunt?" Carlson said of widespread accusations of Russian collusion.
He compared the collusion narrative to the one started by former Sen. Joseph McCarthy (R-Wis.), who made numerous claims that political entities and adversaries sympathized with or were members of the Communist Party.
