Laura Ingraham praised President Trump for his accomplishments in his first year and advised him on how to avoid Democratic wins in 2018.

Ingraham criticized the press for being "eager to hype bad Trump news" but ignoring his achievements.

She advised him to take advantage of his "strong populist core" and go places Republicans have otherwise avoided, like the inner cities and coastal liberal areas.

Ingraham said there's no reason to "write off" California and New York, adding that holding town hall events in traditionally Democratic areas could work to his advantage.

"There's no reason Democrats should have a monopoly on the coasts," she said.

She said she likes seeing him "out among the people" like after the hurricanes and with victims of illegal immigrant crimes in Arizona.

"Just showing up and listening can be the most powerful reaction of all," she said.
