While speaking at a gala in Paris over the weekend, former President Barack Obama criticized President Donald Trump's handling of the climate change issue.

Without mentioning his successor, Obama told the group known as "The Napoleons" that America is dealing with a leadership vacuum.

"At the moment, we have a temporary absence of American leadership on the issue," Obama said.

Ed Henry reported that Obama made the remarks in reference to Trump's decision to pull out of the Paris Climate Accord.

Obama also met with French President Emmanuel Macron and former leader Francois Hollande while in Paris, Reuters reported.
