Saturday Night Live pined for Barack Obama last night with an ode by Chance the Rapper to the former president.

"Come back, Barack," Chance sang to a glittery music video that showed him gazing at a photo of Obama.

It is the artist's second ditty to the president on SNL, the first "Jingle Barack," singing about Obama's last Christmas as president.

“We didn’t know just what we had,” Chance sang, along with Kenan Thompson and Chris Redd. “Now things are looking bad. Like really bad, like World War bad, like nuclear bad.”

“For real, why would you leave us?" Thompson sang. "Oh, ‘cause you had to because of the Constitution? But you can come back, right? Oh, you can’t? Because that would undermine the very institutions that we're barely holding on to as it is? I see. I guess we’re stuck with this dude for a while then."
