A man from the Muslim community around the NYC terrorist's neighborhood in Paterson, New Jersey expressed his sorrow and anger about the horrific act.

"I feel sorry for that people died there. I feel angry what this animal did," Hisham from Jordan told Fox News.

Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, 29, yelled "Allahu Akbar" and ran a truck into bikers and pedestrians on Tuesday afternoon near lower Manhattan's West Side Highway, killing 8 and injuring at least 11.

The terrorist is out of surgery and reportedly gleeful over his actions.

"Muslims don't do these things," he said. "Different religions, like Muslim, like Christian, Jewish, any different religion are not allowed to do these things ... He is not acting like a Muslim"

"Any religion here should respect other people," he concluded.

Police are currently investigating the attacker's home next to a mosque in Paterson, New Jersey.
