Ivanka Trump said that, while she doesn't like being attacked in the press or having the left go after her family, it is the everyday American who is suffering more than she is.

"I'd be disingenuous if I said it didn't affect me," Trump said.

The president's oldest daughter said she and her family are not the real victims and that the focus should be on the millions of Americans going through real hardships like addiction or unemployment.

"These are the people who are really suffering," she said.

"If we have to take a few body blows in advocating for those men and women, I think everyone in my family... is honored to do it," she said.
