Daily Wire editor Ben Shapiro and Democratic strategist Richard Fowler reacted to video of Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) threatening to "take [President] Trump out tonight."

Waters was speaking at a gala in New York City, when she continued her war of words with Trump.

"With this kind of inspiration, I will go and take Trump out tonight," she said.

Fowler said Waters was not threatening to assassinate Trump as some have suspected.

He said Waters was being more "tongue-in-cheek" about the next election.

Shapiro disagreed, saying that her use of the term "tonight" meant she wanted more punctual action taken.

He said Waters' latest criticism of Trump showed how far political rhetoric has "devolved."

Shapiro added that Waters is not a stranger to fiery rhetoric, as she referred to the Los Angeles riots of decades ago as an "uprising."
