Tucker Carlson debated a former deputy assistant secretary of state from the Obama administration over a Fox News report that then-Ambassador to the U.N. Samantha Power requested Americans' unmaskings on an almost-daily basis.

Joel Rubin said that, in her work as U.N. ambassador, she had to deal with multiple adversarial nations, like Iran and North Korea.

Carlson pointed out that Power, an Irish-born former journalist, had little experience in foreign policy when she was tapped to be the American envoy to the United Nations.

"[She was] a very political appointee," he said.

"How many terror attacks do you think Samantha Power thwarted by unmasking 200 names?" Carlson asked.

"Don't you think we should be a little uncomfortable?"
