The deputy chairman of the Democratic National Committee compared illegal immigrants living in the United States to Jews in Nazi Germany.
"And if you ask yourself 'What would I do if I was a gentile in 1941, if my Jewish neighbors were under attack by the Nazis? Would I give them sanctuary?'" the Minnesota congressman said this week in Minneapolis.

The same day as Ellison's comments, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi was shouted down at her own press conference by DACA supporters furious at her for pursuing a deal with President Trump.
On several occasions, Ellison has slammed the president on other fronts.
Earlier this year, he compared Trump to King George III because of his "intimidation" tactics portrayed on his Twitter feed.
