The hosts of "Outnumbered" were incredulous that two Trump lawyers were caught loudly discussing the investigation in downtown Washington, D.C.

Outside counsels Ty Cobb and John Dowd were overheard by New York Times reporter Kenneth P. Vogel at BLT Steak near the White House and The New York Times' Washington Bureau.

Gillian Turner called the incident "irresponsible and dangerous" and a "really bad amateur move."

"I know that if you go anywhere in downtown D.C. on any given day you can hear some of the nation's worst-kept secrets," Turner said. "But anything to do with people who are actively involved in the Russia investigation, like you'd think they would rent a conference room.

The lawyers' discussion shed light on the infighting among lawyers in the West Wing over what information to release to Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
