Rush Limbaugh said President Trump "knows his base," and his decision on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program follows through on a key campaign promise.

"He know the impact all of this has had on the American economy and American jobs," the conservative radio host said on his show Tuesday.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced DACA, which allows illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children to stay, would be retired in six months, giving Congress that long to find a legislative solution.

"It's rocked them," Limbaugh said, adding that the president's opponents thought to themselves that Trump was "not this callous."
