Lawrence Jones said criminal charges should be brought against a Missouri state senator who is refusing to apologize for saying she hopes President Trump is assassinated, and she should resign.
"The elected officials are ratcheting this up, and the citizens are taking that fire and only putting more gas on it," the host at The Blaze told "Fox & Friends" on Saturday.
“I hope Trump is assassinated!” State Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal wrote in a now-deleted Facebook post.

Gov. Eric Greitens joined calls Friday for Chappelle-Nadal to step down.
If she will not resign, the Senate can vote to remove her. I believe they should.

Lt. Gov. Mike Parson stated that as state Senate president he will begin proceedings to remove her if she does not leave before September.
"This is not a matter of agreeing or disagreeing with the president of the United States," Jones continued. "You shouldn't be saying assassinate anyone let alone the leader of the free world."
"If someone said this about President Barack Obama they would already be out of office, there would be some type of criminal investigation, and there would be marches."
