In his opening monologue, Sean Hannity called on Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to rein in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into alleged collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.

Calling it an "open-ended fishing expedition," Hannity said he doubts whether the probe is still focused on the alleged collusion.

He said Mueller is now reportedly looking at President Trump's and his family's finances and has impaneled a grand jury in Washington, D.C.

Hannity said it appears Mueller can do whatever he wants and has gotten the "green light" from Rosenstein to expand the probe.

Hannity then pointed out an op-ed from constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley, who called on Rosenstein to recuse himself from the matter.

Hannity said Rosenstein, who talked to Chris Wallace this past weekend, has "turned a blind eye" to Mueller's "massive conflicts of interest," including his close friendship with former FBI Director James Comey.

He also blasted Rosenstein for taking no action after it emerged that Mueller had hired eight lawyers who donated to Democrats to work on his investigative team.

"What he's now doing is ridiculous, it's beyond the pale and Rosenstein should be ashamed of himself for even letting this happen."
