Jesse Watters dismissed accusations of White House adviser Jared Kushner being embroiled in a massive Russian collusion scandal.
Watters said Kushner, who is married to Ivanka Trump, tried to get out of the controversial meeting with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya last year.
He said the incident was blown out of proportion by Democrats and members of the media who were expecting him to drop a bombshell in Monday's public remarks.
"The Democrats never let the facts get in the way of a good scandal," he said.
Watters said people like NBC's Lester Holt "built this thing up like it was going to be a huge deal today."
"The guy's a boy scout. He couldn't collude if you played tiddlywinks with him," Watters said.
