Bolling: Trump's 'America First' Message Is Rattling Europe
Thousands of protesters clashed with police in Hamburg, Germany, on Thursday ahead of the G20 summit where President Donald Trump and other world leaders will be meeting.
Police used tear gas, pepper spray and water cannons in an effort to disperse the crowds, as protesters threw bottles and other projectiles.
On "The Fox News Specialists," Eric Bolling said the protesters - and many European leaders - are angry at President Trump's "America first," anti-globalist message.
"See, folks, 'America first' is good for - wait for it - America," Bolling said. "European protesters are angry that America isn't footing the bill for every social justice issue the world can come up with."
He said Trump's message is even more powerful following eight years of former President Obama downplaying American exceptionalism.
"It seemed as if anyone and everyone got an American handout, whether they promoted American values of freedom, liberty and the free markets or not," Bolling said. "Enter President Donald J. Trump, a new American president, a strong voice for American exceptionalism, a decisive leader."
He noted that Trump has already pulled the U.S. out of the Trans-Pacific Partnership, deregulated our energy markets and talked tough on fixing the Paris Climate Agreement.
"The Trump Doctrine can be summed up with this: America first. Globalists, be gone."
