'I Don't Like Losing': President Trump Speaks on 'Energy Dominance'
President Trump spoke at an event on "energy dominance" Thursday, as the White House emphasizes energy policies this week.
The Trump administration is working to increase energy exports and make the country less dependent on energy imports.
President Trump said that the administration's energy policy will "unlock millions and millions in jobs and trillions of dollars in wealth."
"Now the world is starting to say, 'I think they're right,'" the president said. "They'll find out."
"I don't like losing. Neither do you folks," Trump smiled.
Trump promised not only "energy independence," a long-time goal of the U.S., but "energy dominance."
"I have to do what's right," no matter whether people protest his decisions or not, the president said.
"The golden era of American energy is now underway," Trump said. "And I'll go a step further. The golden era of America is now underway."
The administration plans to address exporting more liquefied natural gas, pipeline permits, and shipping U.S. coal overseas.
