Trump complimented India's strong economy and commitment to fighting radical Islamic terrorism.

"I salute you, Prime Minister Modi, and the Indian people for all you are accomplishing together," Trump said.

Trump said India is the fastest-growing economy in the world and remarked that he hoped to have the United States catch them sometime soon.

Modi appeared so pleased with Trump's comments and his preceding White House meeting that he walked over and hugged the New Yorker.
