During a speech in Cincinnati on Wednesday, President Donald Trump explained his goal of modernizing and upgrading America’s infrastructure.

He said that he wants to invest substantially in rebuilding America's roads, bridges, waterways and airports.

"Isn't it about time?" Trump said. "[We're] spending money all over the world, except here. We don't spend our money here."

He said there's no worker like the American worker, and that's why his administration is going to put our nation's skilled tradespeople back to work.

"The American people deserve the best infrastructure anywhere in the world," Trump said. "It's time to recapture our legacy as a nation of builders and to create new lanes of travel, commerce and discovery."

He said we must stop spending trillions of dollars in other countries while our own country falls into disrepair.

"It's time to rebuild our country, to bring back our jobs, to restore our dreams," Trump said. "And, yes, it's time finally to put America first."
