Kerry Compares Trump to OJ Simpson on Climate Deal
Former Secretary of State John Kerry compared President Trump to O.J. Simpson for the way he approached the Paris Climate Accord.
Kerry said that the way Trump said he would re-negotiate a better climate deal was comparable to Simpson looking for the "real killer" of his ex-wife Nicole Brown.
In 1995, Simpson, a retired Buffalo Bills running back, was found not guilty of murdering Brown and her friend Ronald Goldman.
Since then, Simpson and others who support him have said they would like to find the real killer.
Kerry scoffed at Trump's decision to pull out of the Paris deal, in hopes of finding a better agreement for America's interests.
"That's like O.J. Simpson saying he's going to go out and find the real killer. Everybody knows he isn't going to do that because he doesn't believe in it," Kerry said.
Kerry said on NBC that Trump is siding with libertarian billionaires Charles and David Koch in "denying science."
"What does Donald Trump know that [Secretary of State] Rex Tillerson or President Xi [of China]... doesn't know?" Kerry said.
