Rep. Nunes: Obama Admin Ignored Warnings About Russia
Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) described it as "beyond ridiculous" that Democrats are sounding the alarm about Russian interference in the presidential election after the Obama administration a year ago downplayed his warnings about U.S. intelligence failures regarding Russia.
"And now every time you turn around everything's about Russia, Russia, Russia," he told James Rosen on "Special Report." "I warned them a year ago. They ignored it."
Nunes suggested everyone "keep their powder dry," and let special counsel Robert Mueller run the investigation into the Trump campaign's potential ties to Russia.
The "Gang of Eight" member said he had yet to see any evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Moscow, echoing the statements of many of his fellow Republican members of Congress.
"I think the investigations that are ongoing in the House and Senate need to be very, very careful as to not get into the wrong lane, so that you mess up some investigation," Nunes added.
