Echoing what Charles Krauthammer argued last night on "Special Report," Meghan McCain said President Donald Trump and Republicans need to pass tax reform.

"Let's not mince words. He really needs a legislative win," said McCain on "Outnumbered," questioning whether a bill can get done if bipartisan support is needed.

She said other than Sen. Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota, it's hard to see where any Democratic support in the Senate would come from.

McCain applauded the remarks yesterday by Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, who said he wants to see taxes simplified to the point where Americans can send in a "postcard."

McCain said the idea of ending the current "torturous" process of filing taxes would have broad support from the American people.

In his remarks last night, Krauthammer called tax reform the "single most important legislative initiative" that Trump could complete during his term.

Krauthammer said Trump has a "good chance" to stimulate the economy by lowering taxes.
