Pollster Frank Luntz said that the continuing protests at Republican town halls will backfire on the Democrats in the next election.
Luntz said he was confident the protesters are not being paid to show up and disrupt the Republican town halls, but that the organizers are likely funded by outside interests.
He slammed the protesters for being disrespectful of basic decorum, like yelling "Talk Denham, talk" at Rep. Jeff Denham (R-Calif.).
"Since when do we not call a congressman by their title?" he asked, noting former Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) once admonished someone for not calling her "senator."
Luntz said protests like the one in Denham's district and at several town halls across the country will "backfire" on the very Democrats they support.
"The American people don't want yelling and screaming," he said.
