Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) has recently spoken out about sanctuary cities, transgender "bathroom bills" and lone wolf terrorism. Now, he's promoting The Lone Star State's concealed carry gun laws.

On Monday, Abbott took to Twitter to share an image of a sign that says lawful open and concealed carry are welcome in the area.

"We refuse to be a disarmed victim zone," the sign reads. "Help keep our town safe and crime. Keep your weapon holstered unless the need arises."

"You know you're in Texas when you see signs like this," Abbott tweeted, along with the hashtags #guns #txlege and the @NRA handle.

Many people replied on Twitter, voicing their support for Abbott and Texas' gun laws.
