Rep. Waters Tells Trump to 'Get Ready for Impeachment'

Huma Abedin might be giving her marriage with Anthony Weiner another shot, according to The New York Post.

Abedin, a top aide to Hillary Clinton, announced her separation from Weiner, a former New York Democratic congressman, last August.

The announcement came one day after a report emerged that Weiner had sent a sexually explicit photo to a woman with his and Abedin's toddler son in the background.

A source close to the Abedin family told the Post that Abedin has been "working hard" on repairing the marriage.

“Huma has been working hard on her relationship with Anthony,” the source said. “He has been spending 80 to 90 percent of his time at the [apartment] they share ... Both [his and her] families are hoping they will reconcile."

Another source, who worked closely with the Clintons for several years, said the breakup was “more for optics for the campaign and [under] pressure from Hillary’s camp.”

Weiner resigned from Congress amid a sexting scandal in 2011. While running for New York City mayor in 2013, more sexts - and his infamous alias "Carlos Danger" - were revealed.  And in August, he allegedly sent a woman sexually suggestive photos, one of which included the couple's son sleeping next to Weiner.

In September, the Daily Mail alleged Weiner had sent inappropriate messages to a 15-year-old girl. Weiner then checked into a rehab facility for sex addiction and has been continuing treatment in New York City.

Despite all of that, a family friend told the Post that Abedin and Weiner are still in love.

"A lot of [their] friends believe this is an illness, that he is sick," said the friend. "Huma takes it into consideration that there's been no affair, or physical contact that anybody is aware of. He never met [the women]."
