On Saturday, Greg Gutfeld called out MSNBC host Rachel Maddow for her heavily-promoted reveal of President Trump's tax returns.

Maddow's exclusive report ended up being centered around a two-page 1040 form the president filed in 2005.

Airing a clip of Maddow describing an envelope through which the returns were apparently leaked, Gutfeld remarked "tell me more about these magical things you call envelopes."

"She puts the 'Mad' in 'Maddow'," Gutfeld said.

He pointed to a clip of the pundit holding up the tax forms and saying "this is all we've got," saying such a phrase could be the title of her autobiography.

Gutfeld said the "last time [he] saw a 'fail' that bad," it was either the "Fuller House" reboot, or when former "007" actor Pierce Brosnan followed his role as a British spy with that of a man performing several baritone solos in "Mamma Mia."

Maddow's program that night garnered 3.7 million viewers, Gutfeld said, noting that she was able to grab the public's attention with Trump's old tax returns while North Korea threatens us with war.

"Why is it so hard for the left to lose?" he asked.
