Rep. Jordan to Introduce Bill Calling for Clean Repeal of ObamaCare
U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) is one of a number of Republican lawmakers who do not stand behind the new House GOP health care bill.
The new plan would repeal all taxes and subsidies on the current Affordable Care Act and instead offer the same tax breaks to individual workers as the government would to businesses.
Jordan, a member of the House Freedom Caucus, joined "Fox & Friends" this morning to discuss his plans to introduce a bill later in the day calling for a clean repeal of ObamaCare -- which he said was the promise to voters all along.
"I think this bill has real problems," Jordan said, adding the new plan keeps some ObamaCare taxes, extends Medicaid expansion and starts new entitlements.
He said a clean repeal is not only consistent with the message to voters but it would also allow for the replacement with a health care model that empowers families and brings down the cost of premiums.
Jordan said he doesn't think the proposed House GOP health care bill will bring the down the cost of insurance.
