Anything for a selfie...

A Russian Instagram model has drawn the ire of Dubai authorities after she dangled from atop a skyscraper in order to take a series of selfies.

The seemingly death-defying stunt was pulled by 23-year-old Viki Odintcova, whose male assistant held her arm to prevent her from falling.

No safety harness or other equipment was visible during the shoot, which took place atop the 1,004-foot-high Cayan Tower.

A video posted to her 3.3 million followers shows her leaning back off the edge and then fully dangling from a ledge, with only the man's hand holding her up.

Police were not amused, however.

"The actions of the Russian woman put her life at risk," a police official told The Sun.

Odintcova signed a written statement promising never to do it again. The Russian beauty argued that she and her team highlighted for police the lax security at the tower.

"I still cannot believe that I did it. Every time I watch this video, my palms get sweaty," she said.
