A woman who's been arrested in the assassination of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un's half-brother was seen on surveillance video wearing an "LOL" shirt.

It's the latest strange twist in a story that many have likened to a James Bond-esque spy thriller.

Doan Thin Hoang, 28, is one of two women suspected in Monday's fatal poisoning of Kim Jong Nam at Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Just before he lost consciousness, Jong Nam reportedly told airline workers that he had been sprayed in the face with a chemical.

Other reports have indicated a needle may have also been used.

The two women, suspected to be North Korean agents, targeted 45-year-old Jong Nam as he waited for a flight to Macau, China.

They were identified from CCTV footage in the airport before they fled in a taxi. Hoang was arrested the next day when she returned to the airport to travel back to Vietnam.

Jong Nam, estranged from the reclusive North Korean regime, was pronounced dead after being rushed to a hospital.

The second suspect remains at-large.
