Following the resignation of National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, President Donald Trump and Republican lawmakers are turning their attention to the potentially "illegal leaks" that revealed Flynn's discussions with a Russian diplomat and other sensitive details from inside the administration.

On "Special Report" tonight, Charles Krauthammer said we cannot have intelligence agents eavesdropping on Americans - particularly those in high-profile White House positions - and leaking it to the press.

He said it's "scary" if everybody who communicates with a foreigner is subject to being exposed by his or her own government.

"This is the stuff police states do," Laura Ingraham said. "They work to destroy the reputations of good people, using information that is classified and private against individual citizens."

She added that there have been leaks since Trump was elected, and it should frighten every American.

She said she believes that these leaks came from an Obama administration holdover.

"We know that the intelligence agencies are not too happy with Gen. Flynn for a number of reasons, and maybe the entire Trump administration," Ingraham said.

"They want to undermine Trump as much as possible, and I think some of them have committed federal crimes in doing this."
