"The Blaze" host Dana Loesch said Democrats should heed the advice of former President Barack Obama, when the then-new president declared that "elections have consequences", and understand that President Trump's cabinet nominees deserve an up-or-down vote.

Voters in 2016 gave Trump a new mandate, Loesch said, adding that Trump's first-week actions are "the will of the people being done."

"What Obama did mattered," she said in response to a clip of Obama in 2010 admonishing 2008 Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) in a meeting by telling him "we're not campaigning anymore, John."

Remember when he said "elections have consequences?" she asked, "so did November 8th."

Loesch said Democrats should listen to a statement made by Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) at a Democrat-boycotted committee meeting Tuesday night and stop playing "petty politics" with Americans' lives.
