Radio host Larry Elder said many liberal Americans cannot "wrap their arms around" the fact that President-elect Donald Trump won the election, as Inauguration Day approaches.

Reacting to news that several Radio City Rockettes are upset with being instructed to perform for Trump's ceremony, Elder said the ladies and others who have pledged not to accept Trump as suffering from "Trump Derangement Syndrome."

He wondered aloud why people who have worked harder for less money over the past few years should be considered "bigots" for electing the often brash New Yorker.

Whoopi Goldberg said she was going to move to Jupiter, Elder said, "I don't know what the property values are there, but I'm sure she can afford it."

To the other celebrities who have either refused to perform for Trump's inauguration, or who have pledged to leave the United States, he said having such "a-listers" at Trump events would be counterproductive and toxic.

Trump is better off having a "people's inauguration," he said.
