Sylvester Stallone, the actor best known for his role as Philadelphia boxer Rocky Balboa, will attend President-elect Donald Trump's New Years' Eve party. Clayton Morris reported.

Trump, his wife Melania and their son Barron will host about 800 guests at the New York businessman's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

The actor was reportedly offered a role in the National Endowment for the Arts, but turned down the opportunity.

Stallone's brother Frank, an actor and musician, posted a video to Facebook saying he too was invited to spend the evening with Trump, adding that the businessman will do "great things for this country".

Tickets to Trump's bash were selling around $500 per person, according to Politico.

Music producer Qunicy Jones was initially reported to be an attendee, but his spokesman said he would be staying with his family in Los Angeles.
