Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte has gained quite the reputation for offering up controversial statements.

On Tuesday, he said he would be willing to throw corrupt officials out of a helicopter midflight.

If that's not controversial enough, it turns out he's actually already done that before!

Speaking about his anti-corruption campaign at Camarines Sur in the northern Philippines, Duterte recounted throwing an alleged kidnapper to his death while he was mayor of Davao City, The Philippine Star reported.

"If you are corrupt, I will fetch you with a helicopter and I will throw you out on the way to Manila," the newspaper quoted Duterte as saying. "I have done that before, why should I not do it again?"

Just add this to the list of notable controversial remarks from Duterte, who has also said he would kill his children if they did drugs and admitted to personally killing three people.

Members of Duterte's Cabinet continuously say these remarks are intended as jokes or hyberbole.
