One New York City Rockette is "kicking" and screaming about the dance troupe's scheduled upcoming performance at President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration.
In a since-deleted Instagram post Thursday, Phoebe Pearl said she was "embarrassed and disappointed" that the Rockettes would be performing at the event, the New York Post reported.
"The women I work with are intelligent and are full of love and the decision of performing for a man that stands for everything we're against is appalling," Pearl said in the post.
"After we found out this news, we have been performing with tears in our eyes and heavy hearts #notmypresident."
MSG Entertainment, the owner of the Rockettes troupe, released a statement saying they were "honored" to be chosen to perform at the inauguration.
Since they are members of a union, the Rockettes were informed that they are unable to boycott the event, according to BroadwayWorld.com.
"If you are not full time, you do not have to sign up to do this work. If you are full time, you are obligated," Pearl continued in the Instagram post.
