U.K. Independence Party leader Nigel Farage thinks it's "disgusting" for people to try and convince electors of the Electoral College to deny President-elect Donald Trump the presidency.

On "Fox & Friends" today, Farage, one of the leading voices behind the Brexit, said these protests are coming from people who are in bed with "liberal media elites" and who have had it their way for too long.

"I don't think it's going to happen," Farage said. "It would be absolutely monstrous if it did."

He added that Brexit opponents are still filing court cases and trying to anything they can do to prevent the U.K. from actually leaving the European Union, noting that appears to be similar to what's happening now in the U.S.

"It's the same miserable list of excuses from people who've had it all their own way for too long," Farage said.

Despite his concern, he said that he's confident that the majority of Republican electors will honor their pledge and vote for Trump.
