President-elect Donald Trump adopted a new nickname for one of his former rivals after someone at his Florida 'Thank-You' rally apparently shouted it at him.
During the campaign, Trump was known for giving his opponents monikers like "Little Marco" Rubio, "Lyin' Ted" Cruz and "Low-Energy" Jeb Bush.
"I had this character that nobody ever saw before, nobody ever heard of... Evan McMuffin; you believe that!" Trump said of Evan McMullin on Friday.
McMullin, 40, a former CIA officer from Utah, launched an independent bid in August aiming to stop Trump and Clinton from reaching 270 electoral votes, thereby putting the election in the hands of Congress.
Since that time, McMullin has routinely criticized Trump, calling him a "threat to the Republic" and alleging the New Yorker has "personal instability."
He called Trump disloyal after he nominated ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson as secretary of state, criticizing Tillerson's relationship with Vladimir Putin:
It must be clear that Donald Trump is not a loyal American and we should prepare for the next four years accordingly. @realDonaldTrump

President-elect @realDonaldTrump consistently contributes to Russian efforts to harm our nation, an alarming fact.

After McMullin heard of Trump's new nickname, he tweeted that the McDonalds' breakfast sandwich was tastier than a meal at the mogul's restaurant inside Trump Tower, which received a heavily critical review from Vanity Fair last week:
.@realdonaldtrump, I hear Egg McMuffins taste a lot better than the steaks at the Trump Grill. True story? https://t.co/Vr8zXRthfs
