A college basketball game ended in cringe-inducing fashion Monday night when a player mistakenly thought his team was ahead and dribbled out the final seconds.

The clip above starts with a Bryant University's Nisre Zouzoua hitting a three-pointer to put his team ahead 90-89 with 11 seconds to go at Brown University.

But Bryant's freshman point guard Ikenna Ndugba appeared not to know the score. On the ensuing possession, he gave up the game-winning layup by Brown's Tavon Blackmon with 3.8 seconds left.

Mistakenly thinking his team was still ahead on the scoreboard, Ndugba then took the inbounds pass, dribbled sideways and threw the ball up in the air as the buzzer sounded.

With his arms raised, he looked to a teammate to join him in celebration, but instead he quickly realized his team had just lost by a point.
