Charles Krauthammer called Donald Trump's performance - including wins in Florida, Ohio and North Carolina - an "ideological and electoral revolution of the kind we have not seen since Reagan."

He said Trump awakened the white working class and won them back into the Republican Party based on immigration and trade.

"What this means ideologically is that the Republican Party has become a populist party and the country is going to be without a classically conservative party," he explained.

Krauthammer said the Reagan Democrats drifted away from the GOP, but Trump has brought them back.

"He simply said, 'I'm your voice. I hear what you're saying,'" he said, calling Trump's success tonight a part of the "worldwide Brexit movement" away from globalization.
