A California man who allegedly stole a giant Donald Trump sign has been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Police say the unnamed man, who is in his 20s, approached a group of Trump supporters who were holding up signs at a shopping center in Costa Mesa over the weekend.

“He was yelling profanities and flipping the middle,” Trump supporter Robin Hvidston told CBSLA.

Then, the man grabbed a sign from 72-year-old Darrell Robinson and ran off, according to police.

When Robinson gave chase, he apparently tripped and fell, injuring his lip, knees and wrist.

The suspect was apprehended by police near the shopping center a short time later.

He was booked on suspicion of robbery, and the sign was returned to its owner.
